There are lots of places that are wonderful to visit hidden around the planet, and some of them I really would like to share with others. Already in the planning stages for this year are Death Valley, plus some interesting winter excursions. Check back here often, you never can know when I might suddenly schedule a special trip by wheels, foot, skis, canoe or kayak, maybe even a sailboat, to someplace special that you have always dreamed about.

The top of Mt Whitney, a gastronomy tour of New Orleans, riding a camel in the desert of Morocco, the best places to eat on La Ramblas in Barcelona, the best coffee shop on the Bahnhofstrasse in Zurich or the only Mexican restaurant in Geneva, walking the ancient ruins on Sardinia or Cyprus, a sea kayak tour around a Florida island, or on Lake Superior, or the best, a full-moon paddle up the coast from Tel Aviv... A sailing vacation on the north coast of Venezuela, or in Buzios in Brazil, or the coast of Belize... Like old places? how about Rome, or Athens, or if you like really old, Stonehenge. Maybe a tour of the Kremlin? Or a real favorite, castle-hopping in England and Wales. Skiing at Holmenkolen, walking along the dikes of Holland.
